We have Irish acting royalty joining us this week - and my new best friend - the fabulous Saoirse Ronan! Fresh from her viral appearance on Graham Norton, Saoirse told us all about growing up between NYC and Ireland, her iconic mum Monica, her love of Vegemite & Barry’s Tea, how she met her husband, being on film sets from a very young age and all about the joint love her family have for John Travolta. Plus, mum surprises us all this week with an epic version of the story of Skimbleshanks, who knew she was hiding that talent?! And who needs her on a new audiobook reading?? S17 Ep 6: Rob Delaney
This week we have our favourite Bostonian comedy actor joining us for lunch at mine, and what a treat it was! Mum was over the moon to have the ‘dazzlingly handsome’ Rob in front of her, and - over an absolutely delish Nigel Slater peach and poached chicken salad - we heard all of his hilarious and heartwarming stories. He told us about meeting his wife at a summer camp 20 years ago, joining an olive oil club with his next door neighbour, working with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, the horrendous food poisoning he got from a dodgy oyster, and we’ve found another Table Manners guest with a penchant for a cold water swim! Rob is not only a fabulous actor, but also a great cook apparently - we’re coming round for a chicken noodle soup soon! S17 Ep 5: Gary Barlow
On the pod this week, we welcome the legendary Gary Barlow! In between early morning studio sessions and tour rehearsals, Gary stopped by my house to share some brilliant stories — from his days on the road with Take That, where he and the band indulged in the infamous “King Naan” curry competition, to the comforts of home, like his mum’s classic chicken and mushroom pie. On the menu is a recipe I’ve never made before, from the Sunlight & Breadcrumbs recipe book by Renee Erickson & Sara Dickerman - mum is obsessed! Scrambled eggs with radicchio, parmesan and balsamic with @dustyknucklebakery focaccia and for pud, the banana bread from the Table Manners cookbook.Gary opened up about his journey into winemaking, his love of good food, wine and the perfect juicer (he loves a daily shroom smoothie). He even let us in on his rider staples and reminisced about listening to music with King Charles. Gary’s new ITV series Gary Barlow's Wine Tour: South Africa starts from 11th Nov. Join us for a one off special live recording with Choose Love at The Union Chapel in Islington on December 2nd - more information here Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S17 Ep 4: Countess Luann
I’m a housewives fan - well, if I’m being honest, I have been religiously loyal to Beverley Hills and now the reboot of NYC, however I knew this would be a biggy for any Real Housewives fan. So I put in the work of consuming 13 series of RHONYC to learn about the one, the only Countess Luann. And goodness me, I’m glad I did! There’s many firsts on this episode: having a Countess on, having one of my friends come over to listen, and also having to nip out mid recording for a daughters school choir performance due to our dear Luanne being rather tardy (‘the traffic was awful’ – that’s the effect of a housewife!)The iconic singer, model, etiquette pro, author & TV personality came over to New Cross looking fabulous in, well, of course Jovani! I fed her some boiled chicken (more delicious than it sounds) & mum made a strudel. She told us all about her friendship with Tilda Swindon, her love of caviar on a potato, her parents regimented sex life & whilst I had to pop out, Luann chatted to mum about growing up as a family of 7 (!) in Connecticut. This was a wild one but a GREAT one! Enjoy!Luann’s upcoming show ‘Countess Cabaret’ comes to the UK in February – tickets are on sale now. you don’t want to miss it. For our final episode of this Second Helpings series, we’re joined by an Oasis legend! Mum was over the moon this week to be joined by fellow Mancunian and music legend Noel Gallagher for a spot of brunch back in series 15. Mum and Noel got on like a house on fire sharing all their tales from up north. Noel shared a few vital revelations; that he always drinks tea with goats milk, he’s only ever had one driving lesson, he didn’t try a boiled egg until he turned 30 (!!), and his favourite weekend of the year is getting pissed and watching the Eurovision Song Contest! Second Helpings - Jamie Oliver
We’re back for week 5 of our Second Helpings series, and it’s chef week! We were only going to do meals on wheels and travel to someone else's place if they were someone we had been angling for since series 1. And of course they were most certainly going to get THE chicken soup (I had a massive cold so it was selfishly suggested by moi). We went to meet the one and only Jamie Oliver! The Naked Chef, the people's champ, the person who taught most of us millennials how to cook. We grabbed Jamie at Jamie Oliver HQ after we watch him high five all his staff, kiss babies and see a team pickling sesh going on. He proclaims mum's balls are the best he's ever had, we talk a lot about family, the nostalgic smell of hibiscus, dyslexia, his wife eating gravy with a fork and holding back his cookbook Veg for years. We’re back next week for our final Second Helpings of this series, but boy are we going out with a bang, our favourite music legend and icon, we can’t wait! Hosted on Acast. Second Helpings - Paul & Mary McCartney
It’s week 4 of Second Helpings, and this was one of our most memorable episodes yet! Question, how do you behave when you have a music icon on your podcast? Well, you have a massive fight in front of him of course! Aside from a small bout of bickering, we had lunch with Sir Paul and Mary McCartney and talked about 30 years of Linda McCartney's legacy in the vegetarian food market. We hear about Mary’s adventurous childhood on tour with Wings, Paul talks about life after The Beatles and they share memories of becoming vegetarian with Linda cooking a macaroni turkey so Paul could carve something at Christmas. Lennie crowns them ‘the Vegeneers’, Paul talks about his famous margarita cocktail ‘Maccarita’ and explains the real way to eat Yorkshire puddings. He also offers us a step by step brief on how to make the perfect bagel, gives us a quick eye yoga lesson and reveals how the song Let It Be came about. We could have gone on forever!! Next week on Second Helpings it’s chef week, and we’re delving back into the archives for one of our very favourite foodie episodes... Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Mum manages to coax her into agreeing that nobody really likes kale and we hear about her step dad's 'Schloop', working in a Mexican restaurant and being a gal who doesn't like her salad dressed.Annie ain't a cook and pulled in the help of Taylor Swift to teach her some culinary skills and she may be the most rock n' roll guest we've had, saying she would have a martini as her main for her last supper. I'm still seething that she didn't make the pop vocal choir at school and if you need any DIY tips, she's just done her mum's place up during lockdown all whilst making a cracking new record, Daddy's Home!Have a listen. Annie we love you X Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

I want to be a Haim sister.Feel lucky enough to have known these sublime women for a while. We have written songs together, eaten sushi, drunk hot chocolate, swapped doctor's details, celebrated birthdays, apologised to firemen...basically, every time you're with a Haim, it's a damn good memorable time.We treat them to their first home cooked meal in Blighty (of course with Lennie's medicinal chicken soup and Matzoh balls) and talk about being paid in matzoh balls, grapes in fruit salad, Bewitched, family, tacos and mum auditions to be the fourth member. It's Haim Time!!Table Manners is produced by Alice Williams Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S8 Ep 6: Luke Evans
This week’s guest flew straight into mum’s kitchen from Los Angeles, where he’d been for his new film premiere, armed with his mother's banana and nut loaf! Hollywood actor and singing heart-throb, Luke Evans tells us all about his upbringing in the Welsh valleys, how he lives for a Dalston Doner kebab and who his favourite on-screen kisser is. We are treated to an award winning karaoke performance around the kitchen table, with only a 'little' wine. Encore, Encore! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Well daaaaaaarrrrling, if there’s ever a time to crack open the bubbly over breakfast, it's when ultimate goddess Charlotte Tilbury pops over to mums! The Queen of glam, and our first makeup artist on Table Manners talks to us about growing up in Ibiza, sleeping in her make-up, jet setting round the world and painting A-lister's faces. As if mum couldn’t love her anymore, she arrived with champagne & homemade gazpacho in hand and a suitcase full of lippie. Get ready for a ‘darling-off’ and stay tuned for a Lennie lipstick! Enjoy!! S8 Ep 4: Yannis Philippakis
A lesson was learnt here - don't invite a rock star into your home on a Friday night and expect mum to hold back on the wine, or hold back on baiting me to drink more. Currently number 1 with their new record, we welcomed the wonderful Foals front man Yannis through our doors. We celebrate the band's marriage, talk a LOT about Greece and his Greek Jewish heritage (much to mum's delight), the reason he couldn't perform at the Mercury Music prize this year and his love for Creme Fraiche. He resists offering up his last supper and to be honest, the night's a bit of a blur - so much so we forgot to take a photo! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S8 Ep 3: Jess Phillips MP
This week we welcomed Birmingham-bred Labour MP Jess Phillips for brunch. Brother Alex hid upstairs (as he does when one of his favourites is downstairs) whilst we ate Turnip and Sweet Potato Fritters with Fried Eggs on top and an Ottolenghi Apple cake.We talked about watching Scandal whilst writing her second book 'Truth to Power', getting the blue tick on Instagram, her 'instagrammable' husband, home made Rhubarb Vodka and her son and his friends updating her wikipedia page to say that she ate Quavers in the bath. She'd stock pile toilet-roll for Brexit and her Karaoke song trumps Liam Payne's in a big way.Enjoy this, it was an absolute pleasure to have her over xProduced by Alice Williams Hosted on Acast. S8 Ep 2: Liam Payne
After showing mum that underwear pic, she couldn't hide her delight and enthusiasm at having our first ex One-Directioner at the Table Manners table. Although on a strict diet and fitness regime, Liam was a perfect guest enjoying what he could of the fantastic Beef and Mushroom pies we made him using a Waitrose & Partners recipe with their No. 1 range ingredients. We talk to him about dealing with fame, his terrible karaoke song choice, being a dad, finding love and happiness, tattoos and his favourite food being airport lounge calamari... Nothing was off the menu, even mother's filthy mouth, and we loved it! Liam Payne is served. XProduced by Alice Williams Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S8 Ep 1: Antoni Porowski
Well, we are back and this time I've brought my whole family to live with mum for the foreseeable future, or until she gets tired of my slobbish ways. So as a sweetener for mother dearest, I decided to bring a real life Disney Prince to Clapham. The dreamy Antoni provides a real share all episode; we talk coffee fixes, guacamole, champagne grapes and he doesn't choose a last supper, he demands a last day of food. Get ready to hear us ogle over the king of the Queer Eye kitchen. Table Manners is served!Produced by Alice Williams Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S7 Ep 2: London Hughes - Live from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe
How we cackled and gasped at South London's funniest feminist London Hughes. With 5* reviews for her Edinburgh show all over the gaff, we talk to the brilliant and wild Ms Hughes about a lot of d*ck, having the longest name, vegans, bad table manners, saying no to a Nandos Black card and eating Maccy D's in Chelsea. Props to London for devouring our sausage rolls and not wanting to share them with the audience. While this isn't R rated anymore it's still preeeetttty explicit ....my kinda gal! Thanks to every guest who has held the new baby and dealt with a chaotic household! We’ll be back for series 7 very soon, but before then, we’ll see you in Edinburgh!! S6 Ep 5: Róisín Murphy
I had every intention of dressing to seriously impress one of my musical and style icons however, when Róisín Murphy arrives an hour early, she gets work-out gear, greasy hair and she has to hold the baby whilst I sort the toddler's dinner. Good thing she doesn’t believe in showering every day and also shares my passion for the beloved baked potato. We talk Met Gala lewks, boiled eggs, her mum's Irish stew and her Italian partner 'beating his meat' whilst also discussing the music industry. Darling Roisin felt so comfortable at ours she even RINSED my rhubarb fool (with mum having to step in to defend me). S3 Ep 2: My Dad Wrote A Porno
Alice, Jamie & James from My Dad Wrote a Porno... what a riot we had! I’m surprised we managed to record a podcast at all. This evening reminded me so much of the dinners we used to have at my mum's growing up - everyone howling with laughter and staying until the wee hours. So wee that mum left hours before we finished recording. If you’ve listened to MDWAP you’ll know what to expect: adult themes, sexual content and strong language. Basically all the good stuff. After the initial flapping Mum took off to make sure her hair looked fabulous and I put my Paxman hat on and whipped out hard hitting questions such as “Would you do Greg Wallace?” This week its Jay Rayner making us feel all nervous about our hosting abilities. S2 Ep 6: Dermot O'Leary
Oh Dermot. Not since mum cooked for Ottolenghi has the Ware household been so flustered to host a guest. Utterly charming, definitely deserving of his ‘nicest man in showbiz’ tag and potentially the biggest secret foodie we’ve had so far. Points were only lost by not divulging the X Factor gossip that mum so desperately wanted. What a true professional. 9/10. Produced by Alice Williams for Cup and Nuzzle Hosted on Acast. S2 Ep 5: George Ezra
Oh George Ezra. What can I say? The night had so much potential... Mum was looking forward to a Budapest duet and instead it ended in a catastrophe that my pelvic floor definitely wasn’t strong enough for and our first emergency Deliveroo order. We’re so sorry George. Produced by Alice Williams for Cup and Nuzzle Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S2 Ep 4: Amol Rajan
Is there anything Amol Rajan hasn’t done? Presenter of The One Show, youngest editor of the Independent newspaper, judge on Masterchef, and now currently the BBC’s Media Editor. Over a savoury cheesecake he manages to makes us laugh with his penchant for Del Boy dinners and nearly gives mum a heart attack with his last minute vegetarian request. Pass the piña coladas, let's get started! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S2 Ep 3: Ralf Little
Ralf Little. The most intensely brilliant guest and Twitter debatee. What you don’t see here is the three hours after we stopped recording sitting around the table setting the world to rights. What you do see is the lowdown on the Royle Family, ruined pancake days and our invite to Jeremy Hunt to finish the NHS debate once and for all. What a night! Hosted on Acast. Paloma Faith - inspiring woman, powerful voice, beautiful hair. She taught us so much in this episode. Giving celebrities food poisoning. Random acts of kindness. The Bake-Off drinking game, Wikipedia's male bias, Paul Hollywood's eyes, Christmas dinner in Denmark… Trust me, we cover it ALL. Produced by Alice Williams for Cup and Nuzzle Hosted on Acast. Ep 6: Loyle Carner
This week, Mercury-nominated man-of-the moment Loyle Carner pops round to mum’s for a special Hannukah feast. Over chopped liver, a LOT of latkes and a pasta pudding we talk ADHD, hanging with Heston and the time he got to meet his hero Eric Cantona. Chag Sameach! Happy Hanukkah! Hosted on Acast. Ep 3: Joe Dempsie And Daniel Kaluuya
Game Of Thrones, dieting for sex scenes, Christmas in Uganda... It all went off when GOT's "porno blacksmith" Joe Dempsie and Daniel "Get Out" Kaluuya joined me and mum for dinner. Love those boys! xxx Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 2: Will Young And Chris Sweeney

Ep1: Sam Smith
So for the very first episode of Table Manners, I invited over my old mate and pop superstar Sam Smith. Over mum's turkey meatballs we talked about Sam's childhood food experiences, living without booze, and what he would choose for his death row dinner. Oh and he gave his very scary impression of a movie icon... Get stuck in people! Jessie x Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
