An interview with Tea Uglow, Creative Director, Google Creative Lab Sydney
Joanne Oatts talks to Tea Uglow (she/they), Creative Director at Google's Creative Lab in Sydney, which works with organisations to explore the space between technology and the arts - and where they intersect. Tea is a global speaker on innovation, creativity, and diversity, as well as the author of two books: A Curiosity of Doubts and Loud & Proud - a collection of speeches from the LGBTQ+ community that have changed our world. In May 2016 Tea spoke at the Sydney Writers Festival on Doubt as a creative catalyst. It was during this talk that Tea publicly acknowledged that she is transgender for the first time. Tea has since been celebrated as one of Australia's OUT50 LGBTQ Leaders by Deloitte and Editions at Play, and awarded a Peabody-Facebook Futures of Media Award.

LGBTQ+ Poland Special: An interview with Martin Kmiecik
In this special episode, we focus on the LGBTQ+ community in Poland. Over the summer, the country saw the re-election of right-wing politician Andrzej Duda as President. In the run-up to the election, Duda spoke out against the LGBT community, stoking anti-LGBT feeling and suggesting that an ‘LGBT ideology’ was a threat to family life. Since the election, discrimination, violence and hatred towards the LGBTQ+ community in Poland have increased, with many activists arrested or detained without charge. So what does this mean for agencies and brands operating in Poland? How can they make a stand and support the LGBTQ+ community there? Joanne Oatts talks to Polish-born Martin Kmiecik, co-founder of diversity and inclusion consultancy Diversity Pride, about the situation in Poland, and his own experiences growing up in the country.

An interview with Karen Fraser MBE
A third of LGBTQ+ people working in advertising are subject to sexual harassment in the workplace – significantly more than their straight counterparts, that’s according to the #timeToo study conducted in 2018, explains Karen Fraser in this fascinating interview with Joanne Oatts.
Karen goes on to explain that the LGBTQ+ community was also more likely to be harassed more often. And they face multiple barriers to reporting the harassment, including possibly outing themselves in the workplace.
Karen has become a Celebrant and is particularly keen to celebrate love in all its forms, especially amongst the LGBTQ+ community.
