DJ Target
Dear listener, welcome back for another episode of This City, and this week I am delighted to welcome DJ, Broadcaster and Author - DJ Target!Let me tell you, this episode of full of excellent nostalgia, as Target has just wrapped filming the TV adaptation of his excellent book Grime Kids, and we talk about those early days of grime; from the East London basketball court to Rinse FM. And of course, you know I love to talk about the fashion, and Target tells me about the throwbacks with the wardrobe department while filming the show, and his best and worst looks from back in the day! I love love loved hearing all of Target’s stories about getting into music and the journey he has been on. We see each other every day at radio, but it’s so rare we get to chat like this, so I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did!

Rylan
I am so excited to welcome today’s guest to This City, it is someone who I have been a fan of for the longest time; it’s TV and Radio presenter and all round hun - Rylan! I first fell in love with Rylan during his stint on the X Factor with Sherzy, and I’ve followed his stratospheric career from Big Brother, to daytime TV, BBC Radio, to being a household name and beyond! In this episode, Rylan clears up any rumours that he’s an Essex Boy (he’s from Stepney in East London), and we chat about his early life at home with Linda, his early nights out in Soho and the FASHION… oh my goodness the fashion! I am so excited for you to hear this episode, I ADORE Rylan and if you didn’t already, I know you will too after listening to this!

Emer Kenny
My guest today is an incredible actress, writer and show runner - she’s also a 10 out of 10 BABE - it’s Emer Kenny. You might remember Emer from Eastenders, or more recently from Pramface, The Curse, or Karen Pirie; which she not only starred in but she also wrote the adaptation for.In this episode, born and bred Londoner Emer takes us around her ends of North London, from not learning Irish at the Irish Centre, to a journey from Angel that led to a bus stop proposal! You know I LOVE a love story! Enjoy!

Edward Enninful
Welcome back to another episode of This City - and Happy New Year dear listener! I am, of course, delighted to introduce this weeks guest - my good friend and fellow Ghanaian, he’s a published author and the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue… it’s Edward Enninful! We start at Edward’s first London home in Vauxhall, before moving on to Ladbroke Grove, and then heading all over our fair city for various parties and club nights - even sneaking out to raves in Mitcham. And of course, you’ve got to get back from the parties, so the hallowed night bus gets a special mention in this episode! Talking to Edward was such a tonic, and SO much fun; we of course chat fashion, shopping, and which South London babe throws the best parties: Kate or Naomi?! Enjoy!

Loyle Carner
Well, when I say I am once again delighted - I really mean it! On this episode of This City, I talk to rapper, presenter and - as you’ll hear from this podcast - super Dad, it’s Loyle Carner! Not only do Loyle and I cross paths at various music events, he’s been in on my radio show countless times, but he’s also my neighbour, and I often catch him locally with his partner and his little one which is always a joy! On this episode we chat about Loyle’s early life in South-East London, his experiences at different schools, his humbling early gigs, and some mad stories from people and places in This City! Plus, big ups to Little Loyle for his excellent cameo appearance in this episode!

Hello dear listener, and welcome back for another trip around beautiful London! This week I am joined by the incredible Candice Brathwaite. Where to start…! Candice is a writer (of not one, not two, but THREE bestsellers), a mother, a wife, a content creator - she is the OOTD queen; and one of South London’s finest!I LOVED chatting to Candice, we reminisced about the fashion, family, Brixton, the nights out, our school days, and we also talked about the realities of living in London today - and why getting pregnant with her son changed her perspective on the city as a home for her family. Candice is such an incredible force of nature; I genuinely could have talked to her all day! Enjoy!

Little Simz
It's fair to say that Little Simz is a woman of many, many talents. I love and respect this woman deeply; when she's not in the studio producing smash album after smash album or performing said work on tour... and most recently, she's been on our screens acting in Top Boy! She's steadily building her place as one of the UK's most exciting artists, and she's probably done it all from London. If you happen to go to any of the places mentioned in today's episode, why not let me know by posting a picture with the hashtag #ThisCityPod, and make sure you tell them who sent you. Sugababes
They say good things come in threes. And if this week's guests are anything to go by, that is definitely true. If you grew up in the noughties, Keisha, Mutya, and Siobhan from the Sugababes would have likely been a part of your musical life and we couldn't be happier that the band are getting back together 20 years after their debut album One Touch came out! And let's just be honest. We can always use a bit more sweetness in our lives. If you happen to go to any of the places mentioned in today's episode, why not let me know by posting a picture with the hashtag #ThisCityPod, and make sure you tell them who sent you. Sophia Webster
They do say, before you judge someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes, and if you are judging this week's guest, you'd be certified to be in a pretty fantastic pair. Whether it's her trademark butterfly heels and just general, sleek, bright and bangin' designs, Sophia Webster has been responsible for dressing the feet of some of the world's most well-known women, whether it's Oprah, Jennifer Lopez, the Spice Girls, Michelle Obama, Kylie, the list goes on! She's doing it worldwide, but I wanted to bring this woman a little bit closer to home...If you happen to go to any of the places mentioned in today's episode, why not let me know by posting a picture with the hashtag #ThisCityPod, and make sure you tell them who sent you. Reggie Yates
We've all met Reggie Yates in some way, shape or form, whether it was back in the day on kid's show Smile with that bum fluff and those cainrows, his acting in Grange Hill and various roles, or more recently where he's been taking us all around the world, lifting the lid on hidden parts of society. And that varied career started in London! If you happen to go to any of the places mentioned in today's episode, why not let me know by posting a picture with the hashtag #ThisCityPod, and make sure you tell them who sent you. Joy Crookes
Joy Crookes is swiftly carving a place in the hearts and minds of so many, and she's showing no signs of stopping yet. Collecting accolades left and right, from the BRITs to NME, she speaks her truth in a way that I really respect. It’s almost impossible to listen to Joy's music without feeling some kind of way, and given that so many of her tracks are steeped in South London soul, I think it’s only fair to delve a bit deeper into her relationship with London. If you happen to go to any of the places mentioned in today's episode, why not let me know by posting a picture with the hashtag #ThisCityPod, and make sure you tell them who sent you. Louis Theroux
This week’s guest is right up there in the kingdom of documentary royalty. Louis Theroux's work has seen him come face to face with everyone from the so called most hated family in America to members of the survivalist movements, and he does so with his signature style which inevitably resulted in plenty of iconic & memorable moments. While he’s spent a significant amount of time all over the world, I of course, want to hear more about his relationship with this great city...If you happen to go to any of the places mentioned in today's episode, why not let me know by posting a picture with the hashtag #ThisCityPod, and make sure you tell them who sent you. Dina Asher-Smith
It’s not often that you get to sit face to face with someone who has smashed as many records and made history as often as my guest this week has. In fact, she’s currently the proud holder of the title of fastest British woman in history - but don’t worry, we’ll be taking our time today. I'm of course talking about Dina Asher-Smith, and while she can be found sprinting all over the world, it all started in the city we call London. Ncuti Gatwa
It’s rare for someone to capture our hearts as quickly as this week’s guest did. After stealing the show as Eric on Netflix’s Sex Education, Ncuti Gatwa has continued to make waves both on and off the screen and stage. He’s known for his powerful performances, but I want to hear about the places that contributed to them...If you happen to go to any of the places mentioned in today's episode, why not let me know by posting a picture with the hashtag #ThisCityPod, and make sure you tell them who sent you. Mo The Comedian
There aren’t many people who can say Drake has referenced one of their comedy sketches, but my guest this week is one of them... I am, of course, talking about Mo ‘The Comedian’ Gilligan! Between getting us all shouting at Julie to bring us a couple of cans, to gracing our screens with The Lateish Show or his Netflix specials, he’s had a huge impact on the comedy scene - and he did it all from the capital. If you happen to go to any of the places mentioned in today's episode, why not let me know by posting a picture with the hashtag #ThisCityPod, and make sure you tell them who sent you.
