Ireland votes on whether to repeal divisive abortion ban

The people of Ireland are about to vote on whether to repeal a ban on abortions that has been enshrined in the constitution since 1983. The campaign to repeal the ban is supported by the leaders of all parties in the Irish parliament but the issue remains one of the most divisive in national politics.
