Allan has also directed episodes of "Nashville," "A Series of Unfortunate Events," "The Good Fight," as well as "Melrose Place," "Ally McBeal," and "Moonlighting." He won an Emmy for his directing of the "Temptations," miniseries. He is also a frequent commentator on Joe Dante's "Trailers from Hell."
