TODAY: James Adam Ponsoldt, American film director, actor and screenwriter. Born in Georgia, Ponsoldt started directing in 2003, when he wrote and directed the short films Coming Down the Mountain and Rush Tickets. His feature film career began in 2006, with the release of the drama film Off the Black, starring Nick Nolte. He most recently directed the romantic comedy-drama The Spectacular Now(2013), and the dramas The End of the Tour (2015) and The Circle (2017).
