Ben Mankiewicz, Host/Reporter – The Film Scene
TODAY: Ben Mankiewicz, American television host and reporter, and grandson of screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz. Mankiewicz began his career as a reporter for WCSC in South Carolina, before becoming an anchor for the Miami-based television show The Times. In 2003, he became the host of Turner Classic Movies, becoming the second host hired in the network's history. During this time he also became a film critic on the nationally syndicated series At The Movies, before departing the show in 2009. He is still a host for TCM, and has a regular role on the internet-based talk show The Young Turks.
