The Best Overlooked Movies of 2018 - For Your Consideration
On the final For Your Consideration of the year, Collider’s awards experts Scott Mantz, Perri Nemiroff and Jeff Sneider reveal some of their favorite 2018 films that have been overlooked this year, whether by critics, audiences or voters. Scott and Jeff feel strongly about both The Rider and The Old Man & the Gun, while Perri had a blast with Bad Times at the El Royale, and can't believe how the film was dismissed in many quarters. The FYC hosts also carried a torch for some Sundance movies that seemed to disappear this year. Scott loved Ethan Hawke's Blaze, Perri loved Jason Reitman's Tully, and Jeff thought that American Animals was the most underrated film of the year. Meanwhile, Scott joined Jeff in praising Red Sparrow, and Perri agreed with Jeff that The Sisters Brothers was gold, and unfairly overlooked.
