Hoovering - Episode 50: Grace Petrie
Welcome to HOOVERING, the podcast about eating. Host, Jessica Fostekew (Guilty Feminist, Motherland) has a frank conversation with an interesting person about gobbling; guzzling; nibbling; scoffing; devouring and wolfing all up… or if you will, hoovering.
This week my guest is the incredible folk-singer, song-writer and activist the glorious Grace Petrie. We cover veganism, love, putting burgers and jam on a pizza, the Leicester food scene and also just as a bit of a bonus I have an argument with a really sexy fly.

Recipes
I made the recipe up for what we ate but essentially it was vegan shepherds pie with roasted veg. The pie was a base of brown and green whole lentils cooked very slowly with onions, celery, tiny carrots, herbs and then stock reduced until the lentils were firm but it was in a sort of gravy. Then the top was mashed sweet potatoes because that’s what I had in. The roasted veg was broccoli and halved sprouted done for 25 mins.
