#041 Tim McIlrath (Rise Against)
Nowadays, Rise Against are a hugely successful arena rock band, but they still retain a connection to their humble hardcore rock roots as this conversation with the band's singer Tim McIlrath undoubtably proves. They've grown and evolved over the years, but essentially they're the same group they always were: just a bunch of down to earth dudes driven by melodic punk rock music with a message. From growing up in the Chicago punk scene and playing in hardcore bands with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz to signing with Fat Wreck Chords and recording with Bill Stevenson, it all gets covered in Episode 041 of Life In The Stocks - including the recent suicides of Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell, both of whom Tim called friends. All in all, an inspiring talk with a very inspiring artist.
