Stage 1: Start attending events, network with other people, and showcase your experience in your social media. Stage 2: Overcome fear and impostor syndrome. Most of the attendees may have already experienced or are experiencing this. It’s normal, but if you keep attending these kinds of events, it will gradually, or maybe instantly, go away. Stage 3: If possible, go on your own. When you go by yourself, you have no other choice but to interact with new people. Stage 4: Research about the guest speakers and the topics that will be discussed beforehand. You get to ask more questions or add more value to the discussion. This will also get you noticed by the host and other people. Stage 5: Take part fully in the whole event, not only during discussions. Store their contact info in your phone and connect with them in their social media after the event. Stage 7: Have a good time, but don’t go on a drinking spree. Stage 8: Make sure that your notes will be accessible when you need it. If you’ve written them down on paper, encode them or take a picture of them, and put them on the cloud. Don’t just let them sit inside your drawer. Stage 9: Do a review. Would you go again to the event if you get the chance? Did you learn a lot? Were you able to expand your network?
