Raiders Hard Knocks Finale Recap: HBO Show No Longer 'Hard' Enough

On today’s recap of the Hard Knocks season finale, host Marc Fernandez and special guest Jeff Sneider lament the fact that the HBO series ended with a whimper rather than a bang, and what it could mean for the show going forward. The guys think that coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock played it too safe with what they allowed on the show, which barely showed them cutting any players this year. Meanwhile, the Antonio Brown drama was put on the back-burner this episode, and rookie running back Josh Jacobs was all but forgotten this season in favor of a weak backup QB race.
