No Menu Cocktail Concept with Founder Eddy Yang of The Tailor Group

By Emilie Steckenborn

Shanghai runs on cocktails! Today, we sit down with one of China's most renown bartenders and Founder at The Tailor Group: Eddy Yang. We talk about his experience from what it was like working in London at Detroit Bar and then how it was like to return to China in 2010 and launch into his own business.

Eddy's first bar in JingAn: Tailor Bar, was one of the first concept bars in Shanghai where there was no menu. At first, this took us all aback but he proved successful in tailoring each cocktail right down to the guests tastes and preferences. With two additional bars up and running, we discuss the different speakeasy concepts he has created, what it takes to set up an awesome team and what he looks for in an up and coming bar tender.
