Vialucci Podcast #53 with Cate Sevilla This week on the Vialucci Podcast, Theo and Andrew sit down with journalist, writer and editorial consultant Cate Sevilla to discuss her wide-ranging career, her top-secret plans for the future (so top-secret it's not actually much of a discussion...) and how MySpace helped her find true love. No really. The episode begins with a strange diversion into the world of strip-clubs (nothing to do with Cate, just Theo and Andrew rambling), before we get down to Cate's beginnings working for Starbucks, which leads Theo to decry a recent experience at Costa or possibly Caffe Nero. After that we follow Cate's story as she begins a career in journalism, meets her future husband via Myspace and makes the bold decision to move to the UK. Cate was something of a pioneer during the fledgling days of blogging and through this she rose to lead editorial teams for numerous media companies. As always on the Vialucci Podcast, it's a fascinating exploration of how an individual can build a hugely successful career without necessarily doing things the prescribed way.
