Racists make fools of themselves with the White Lives Matter plane

Another night when football took a stand. As the Manchester City and Burnley players and staff took a knee at the Etihad on Monday night, a plane flew overhead trailing a banner which read ‘White Lives Matter Burnley’. Burnley were quick to issue a statement condemning it while Sean Dyche and Ben Mee also were eloquent in their criticism. Mee spoke powerfully about how he felt ashamed by the plane and in doing so highlighted again that there is no turning back.
