S01 EP4 (Part 1): Jordan Williams
A B5 Consultancy podcast, presented by Matt Himsworth and Fraser Franks, telling the untold stories of the beautiful game - the pain, the graft and the rejection.
Series One sees us meet Liverpool FC&aposs Academy class of 2013/14.
Episode Four is about Jordan Williams, a lad from Bangor, North Wales, who at one stage, having scored a penalty in front of a packed Kop in the League Cup against Middlesbrough, was looking forward to a career at the top of the game and made the Wales squad as his country prepared for the 2016 European Championships. His journey starts though with personal tragedy, having lost his estranged father at the age of 15, his strong single mum&aposs support has been everything to him but together they have battled their own demons, and when he was told, at the age of 21, that his career was over owing to injury, his world was crashing down around him. A miraculous injury in New York, sees him now in his third season with his "new" knee and aiming to get back into the national team and to the top of the game. This episode is such a roller coaster that we had to split it into two parts. This is Part 1.
