We discuss “Show Guest Interviews or Co-Hosts: What Format is Best?”
Solo, co-host, or guest?
There are a few different podcast formats you could try:
- Only you: You’re the host, the one host, and the only host.
- This can work but you must have a talent for connecting with listeners, rare talent
- You + one other standing host: You co-host with same partner for every episode.
- This can work well, is a matter of chemistry between the two, but is a gamble
- You will find with good and regular co-host you can build a solid/loyal audience
- You + guest: You interview with a new guest on each episode.
- You could also have a standing co-host + guest, but complicated
- This format brings new perspectives, opinions, stories, voices, and talent to every episode. Your guests will share their episodes with their audiences, too, serving as advocates that will help you grow your listener base.
Spotify Accepts Podcast Submissions, should you expect to get in though?
-Accepting less than 10% of submissions, so don’t count on or expect to get into Spotify
-Spotify is focused on creating curated playlists for users, thus main reason they are very picky on shows they add

I personally listen to a show for the content not the numbers, but others feel differently. 😄

Man I need to go back to the drawing board. Never planned on making money with it. Just a creative zone for me at the moment.

I got two donations, one for $100 and one for $25. OTCR is going to go the getting regular advertisers method through people we know who are willing to advertise with us.
