Great show episode #78! I noticed that when we share a link to our podcasts now, there is a play list for the rest of our podcast. I think that is a very good idea.

I've got a serious question about copyrighting music. I do pop culture episodes write talk about different television shows and I've been using maybe 15 seconds or less of the show's theme song underneath the introduction. Would this be a copyright violation? I thought it would be ok under fair use, but I'm starting to question that.

Spreaker News Update
- Show Playlists in Sharing Widget Audio Player on Spreaker
- My trip to Mid-Atlantic Podcast Conference
- I spent last Sunday with David Jackson, School of Podcasting
- We visited the Liberty Bell and Liberty Hall in Philly, then took him to the airport
Our Tip of the Week: “Taking Control of Your Interview Guests”
- Do a thorough intro of your guest, don’t let the guest intro himself
- This takes his boring points from some key point he or she drives in every other interview
- You want the interview to bring out new topics or angles that will add value to your listeners
- Is ok to create questions/outline, but be adventurous and take the path less traveled
- Get guests to tell stories that are interesting
Let’s Dive into our main topic this week “How To Get Personal in Your Podcast”
- Create emotional reaction - makes a memorable impression
- We have mentioned this before - but speak to a person “You”, “You’re, “Your”
- Tell stories that are fun, interesting and create an emotional reaction
- Share some personal details about yourself on your show!
