As the world&aposs population continues to expand, and climate change bites harder across the globe, access to water has never been a bigger issue. Today on the Agenda Podcast, we look at how access to water has become a vital issue in many countries around the world.
First on the podcast we speak to Piers Clark, the founder & Chair of Isle Utilities. Clark explains why climate change is making it difficult for us to hold on to rain water and why this contributes to water shortages and restrictions [03:45].
We also speak to Adam Loch from the Centre for Global Food & Resources at the University of Adelaide. He explains why water theft has become an issue and who it hurts the most [06:48]. Finally we talk to Konstantina Toli, Senior Programme Officer at Global Water Partnership-Mediterranean - an organisation focusing on water security. She tells us why education is important when trying to make sure individuals and institutions have a healthy attitude toward water conservation [13:57].
