MIKE ROYCE is best known as of the executive producers of “Everyone Loves Raymond.” He started as a stand-up comedian in New York City and continued that path for 12 years and became a fixture at the comedy cellar and all the other clubs, appearing on a bevy of television shows, including NBC’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.” for several years, he was also the warm-up comedian for a diverse array of shows including “The Dana Carvey Show,” “The Maury Povich Show,” “Viva Variety,” and “Spin City.” in the late nineties, Mike was a staff writer for MTV’s “apt. 2-f” starring the Sklar brothers, and hired by legendary showrunner Bill Lawrence to pen an episode of “Spin City.” he joined forces with Ray Romano for the first time to help write his new york times bestseller “Everything and a Kite.” later on that year Mike wrote the ‘Sportscenter’ sketch for ray’s “Saturday Night Live” appearance, which was named one of the ‘50 greatest SNL sketches of all time’ by rolling stone. Mike joined the writing staff of “Everybody Loves Raymond” in 1999 and won the best comedy emmy in both 2003 and 2005. Post-Raymond, Mike partnered with Louis C.K., serving as executive producer and showrunner of HBO's first ever sitcom, “Lucky Louie” and in 2008, mike co-created TNT’s “Men of a Certain Age” with Ray Romano, serving again as executive producer and showrunner.
