Story Summaries:
“Cleared for Reentry”
Two men are ready to end their mission aboard the space station they’ve lived and worked on together for months. Excited to depart, the tension is palpable, and things might not go as smoothly as planned.
“Portraiture”
A grieving man who has lost his wife and son visits a painter with an uncanny ability that allows him to contact the deceased. Dark truths are revealed.
“The Lady of The Wood”
It’s funny how fast history makes misunderstood women into witches. In the fall of 2008 two best friends go hunting for the ghost of the infamous witch of the Maine woods Emeline Gurney, who supposedly married her son on Satan’s orders. But as they cross into the old pine forests of Fayette, they find they are way in over their heads.
Warning: The Wicked Library is a horror fiction podcast created for a mature audience. Our stories contain graphic descriptions of pain, murder, violence, blood, betrayal, and inhumanity; monsters win, people die, and hope is often shattered. There is also beauty, heart, catharsis, and raw emotion. Fear may be deeply personal, but we all share it.
If at any time a story takes you to a place too dark, turn on the lights, press pause, or press stop. And always remember, that unlike in the real world, these nightmares, and your participation in them, are under your control.
