116: How to navigate life as a highly sensitive person with Dr Judith Orloff
Today it is such an honour to be joined by Dr. Judith Orloff for the final episode of Season 10. Dr Orloff is the New York Times bestselling author of The Empath’s Survival Guide: Life Strategies for Sensitive People. Her new book, Thriving as an Empath, along with it’s companion, The Empath’s Empowerment Journal offers daily self care tools for sensitive people.
Dr. Orloff is a psychiatrist, an empath and is on the UCLA psychiatric clinical faculty. She synthesises the pearls of traditional medicine with cutting edge knowledge of intuition, energy and spirituality. Dr. Orloff also specialises in treating empaths and highly sensitive people in her private practice. As a highly sensitive person myself, I related to this book and all her work massively and have returned to it since first reading it. If you find yourself being sensitive to other people's feelings, absorbing the pain of others, and many other traits of empaths which will go on to further, then Dr. Orloff is someone you should check out and recommend to anyone you know who also struggles with sensitivity. For many years I thought it was a huge nuisance being sensitive but Dr. Orloff shows you that you can manage being sensitive better and help you to thrive with it too.
