66: How to say sorry with Molly Howes
This week my guest is a very special woman whose work is healing the world every day. Molly Howes is a global speaker and clinical psychologist with more than three decades of experience. Through Molly’s private practice and in her writing, she explores conflict within relationships and how to heal past and present hurt. Through her research, Molly studies interpersonal aspects of depression and other mental health issues. She is the author of the globally celebrated book, A Good Apology: Four Steps to Make Things Right.
How good are you at saying sorry? When was the last time you tried to make amends? In this episode, Molly talks us through her thoughtful four step approach on how to make things right when you know you’ve done wrong. She explains that when something goes wrong between people, it doesn’t have to be the end of the story. By saying sorry we can heal the hurt between people, leading to better relationships and ultimately a happier and healthier life.
I loved this conversation and hope that by listening to Molly we can all become better apologisers.
