The government introduced the Illegal Migration Bill in an effort to stop asylum seekers making the reckless and dangerous crossing across the English Channel. The government believes that something must be done to tackle this issue, something they say is a key priority for voters - and one of the 5 priorities that will define the sucess of Rishi Sunak's premiership until the next general election.
