Aleister Crowley was a notorious occultist who rejected the religion of his childhood and devoted himself to a new kind of morality: “Do what thou wilt.” He joined the OTO in 1910, finding their beliefs — particularly around sex magick — aligned, but his initiation would prove to be a double-edged sword.
