Reclaiming and Relearning To Love Yourself with Laura Adlington
Laura Adlington was the stand out star of the Great British Bake Off in 2020. Viewers fell in love with her sense of humour and positive outlook, as well as her messy baking. Since appearing on Bake Off, she has grown a huge social media following across her social media channels and has also launched her podcast, 'Go Love Yourself' which is all about body confidence. Laura is keen to help people of all shapes and sizes feel good about themselves and talks honestly and openly about mental health and body image. In this episode, Laura and Alice discuss the positives of reclaiming the word 'fat' and how it's important that we neutralise the word so it isn't constantly used as a negative. Laura bravely opens up about the trolling she received when she was on Bake Off and discusses how the turning point for her was the amount of positive messages she received from how amazing she was on the show.
