Managing news consumption
Recent world events have been difficult to process and watching the news during these times can take a toll on us. When major world situations are taking place, we can find ourselves hooked on the news and feeling as though we need to know everything, but this behaviour, known as doomscrolling can be detrimental to our physical and mental health and severely affect our everyday life. We now have news at our fingertips all day, every day and unsurprisingly, it's not good for you.
If you have identified that engaging with a lot of news is not benefiting your well-being, it might be time to consider reducing or altering the ways you consume it and that, along with ways of cultivating calm, is what we are tackling on todays show.
