A Right Royal Abdication
We're back for 2024 and as the world of royalty is as tumultuous as ever, we take a look at Royal abdications.
Following on from the abdication of Queen Margrethe II and the accession of her son, the now King Frederik X we look at what led up to this historic event and also what abdications mean for royal families across the globe.
We'll be speaking to three incredible guests starting with royal journalist Wim Dehandschutter who has interviewed the Danish queen in the past and covered the big event in Copenhagen. We'll also be speaking to the wonderful Joe Little, Managing Editor of Majesty magazine, who will be sharing his knowledge of all things abdication and Chris Ship who is ITV News's royal editor who was also covering the event from Copenhagen.
Please note: This episode was recorded before the news regarding both the Princess of Wales and King Charles's health stories broke.
