Ep 194: Corey Micciolo: My Son’s Death Could Have Been Prevented with Breanna Micciolo, Part 2
A must listen episode if you want to understand coercive control and the warning signs to look out for, including how an abuser coercively controls a child and undermines those trying to safeguard and protect the child.
Breanna shares when she first saw the treadmill abuse video and that although a worker from the Department of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) viewed the video, staggeringly they did not include it in their report to Judge Patrick Bradshaw at the Emergency Custody Order hearing on March 31, 2021. Breanna also reveals what DCP&P worker said to her having watched Christopher Gregor abuse six-year-old Corey on the treadmill. What she shares is utterly mind-blowing. Corey was killed just days later.
Trigger warning: this is not an easy listen but it is important and might save a child’s life.
