Having headed to France for the Wales v Australia match, Lawrence finds himself unexpectedly waylaid on the continent. After tracking him down on French public transport, Steve Cording tackles the rumour that our former England captain has been seen wearing a Wales jersey. Is it true?

Assured that Lawrence is safely en route home, Steve is joined by the Evening Standard rugby correspondent, Nick Purewal, to take a look through the weekend’s games including big wins for all the home nations. Nick tells us who is the fastest England squad member, shares how Max Malins can identify Henry Arundell even with his eyes closed and how a chance encounter in a bank led Bundee Aki to his career in Ireland. 

The pair also discuss whether it’s all over for Eddie Jones as Head Coach now that Australia are all but out of the tournament and why Ireland seem unstoppable.
