Rewriting the Classics with Tossed Popcorn
Welcoming Siena Jeakle and Lianna Holston to The Pod Club! Have you ever watched a classic film and been like “wait, was that bad?” Or told people that you’ve seen a classic flick that you actually haven’t just so they think you're classy? These questions prompted Siena and Lianna to start Tossed Popcorn, a show where they review the AFI's "100 Greatest American Movies Of All Time" (spoiler alert: they hate most of them). With this idea, they won iHeartMedia's Next Great Podcast competition in 2020. Now they are here on the Pod Club to update us on which films are actually worth watching and the surprising ways this project has empowered them to be more critical viewers. Of course, they bring some podcast recommendations too. Like we always say, life is too short to listen to bad podcasts AND to watch bad movies.
