Skiing Star Shiffrin, Women's Sports Investor on Equity

Hosts Scarlet Fu and Damian Sassower welcome US skiing superstar Mikaela Shiffrin to the show. Shiffrin, a double-Olympic champion, seven-time World Champion, and the winningest skier of all-time, explains how she has elevated women’s ski racing globally - both on and off the mountain.

They also speak with Kara Nortman, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Monarch Collective. It's a $100M fund aiming to accelerate equity in global sports, one community member at a time. She explains the value proposition for investing in women’s sports right now and why she sees so much untapped opportunity in this area. Nortman is also co-founder of Angel City FC, a National Women’s Soccer League expansion team that began play in 2022.
