Straight Fire w/ Jason McIntyre - The Other Guys Shine for the Lakers, Russell Westbrook's Great and Terrible Night & Some Worry About the Warriors
On today's episode, Jason and Super Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) kick things off with a deep dive into the Los Angeles Lakers' Game 1 victory in Memphis over the Grizzlies. LeBron James was good and Anthony Davis was dominant, but this game was won by 'the others': Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves. Given how deep this Lakers team is - and the uncertainty surrounding the hand injury to Ja Morant - it's hard to see a scenario where LA doesn't advance to round two. Speaking of Los Angeles, shout out to Russell Westbrook for doing all the little things to help the Clippers steal Game 1 against the Phoenix Suns. Russ didn't let a poor shooting night negatively impact the rest of his game as he made play after play in the final minutes. Let's just hope that viral video of him getting into a verbal altercation with a fan after the game doesn't wind up being the bigger story on Monday. Finally, the guys close the show by previewing tonight's Game 2 between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors. De'Aaron Fox may have put on a show for Sacramento in Game 1, but it's not like Steph Curry and the Dubs played poorly either - and that's exactly why the Warriors should be concerned heading into tonight's action.
