Cold War Kids
On their 2017 sixth album L.A. Divine, Cold War Kids pay tribute to Los Angeles and all its strange glory. "In many ways L.A. is the least divine city, the most hedonistic and irreverent and disconnected from history," says Cold War Kids' singer/guitarist/pianist Nathan Willett. "L.A.'s so massive, I feel like I'm always finding something new in it," says bassist Matt Maust. "It's an incredibly weird place, and I'm happy to have made a record that totally honors that weirdness." In this interview taken from the GRAMMY Museum archive, the band sits down for an intimate discussion on the making of the album and the impact and their endless fascination with their adopted hometown.
