The US Space Force may find its first battle occurring not in orbit, but in court, as Netflix has locked down the trademark for its new sci-fi/comedy series (also called Space Force). As insurance companies look for ways to continue business during the pandemic, 7/11 customers in Japan can now buy life insurance at their local corner store. And in a letter to Congress today, IBM announces that it will no longer create facial recognition technology due to serious and ongoing concerns about racial bias and the way this technology has been used by law enforcement.
