You're Suppose To Be Great
Today's dose of "Vitamin D" is dedicated to understanding how you're not supposed to be good when you're supposed to be great. What I mean by that is how you decide to show up in the world, because what do I say? How you do anything is how you'll do everything. So how are you showing up for yourself? How are you showing up for the people that you love? How are you showing up for the things that you care about? It kills me when people talk about, "Oh, this little project?" "Oh, this little thing?" "Oh, I'm not doing nothing major on here." Everything you do should be real big. You should be in ahh of it. It should get you excited about it because if it's not, what are you doing it for?
You know we're gonna die, right? You know that that is a fact, not an option. A stone-cold fact. So anything that is an extension of you should just be real big. Real big in love. Real big in joy. Real big in peace. Real big in happiness. Real big in you being you. And I was listening to this track by Jasmine Sullivan it's entitled "Roster" and in it she's talking about dating and a relationship and wanting this brother to understand that I got plenty of people to choose from. So don't get too comfortable. But there was something that she said that really caught my ear. She said "the world's too big to think so small." How do you think of yourself? Because if this world is so ginormous and all that we can do, what we can accomplish, how we can feel the abundance.
How are you showing up in it? Are you taking up your rightful space? Are you taking your seat at the table? Or in fact, are you becoming the table? How you do anything is how you'll do everything and sometimes we have to remind ourselves to keep on keeping on. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that there's a such thing as a pivot. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves is the key is to keep your head above water. You catch what I'm saying? So just because it doesn't work out in how you envisioned; just because it didn't work out in the timeframe in which you thought it was going to work out, that does not give you permission to play small.
What they say? Go big or go home. You can't be good when you're supposed to be great. And I'm here to tell you right now, you got greatness over your life. You ready to show up? They say how you do anything is how you'll do everything. Don't be good when you're supposed to be great. All right.
