Be A Cool Kid
Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to being a “cool kid.” When you were a child, you were the freest. If you wanted something, you went after it. You had an imagination out of this world! Something as simple as having a cape tied around your neck had you believing that you could fly. New sneakers made you feel you could run faster and jump higher. If you liked something you said it right away and if you didn’t you did as well. It was then that you were your most authentic self. At some point while maturing you were taught the opposite. You were taught to stay in a single file line, to be quiet because you were too loud, to not believe in such “ridiculous” things and so forth. It’s time to tap into your inner “cool kid.”
Your authentic self is screaming to be set free. Somewhat like a caged bird, trapped without a key. Singing a melody of a song of how it would like to be free. I want you to realize that your "key" to freedom is right there inside of you. Stop being afraid to follow your heart. If you want something, go after it. If you like something or someone say something. If you feel stuck at your job, it’s time for you to leave! Your passion is waiting on you. You want to move, but the idea scares the dickens out of you, move anyway. The relationship has gone sour because the abuse is more than you signed up for, get out!
Like the group Echosmith stated in their hit single, “Cool Kids” when you abandon your authentic self it’s like driving “in the fast lane, living life without knowing.”
Being authentic is about knowing who you are, knowing that your time to be happy is right now. There is no better time than now to pursue your dreams, to find your true love, to tap into your full potential and to be all that you were destined to be. That’s what you call being a “cool kid!”
That's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." Be sure to follow me on all social media @DawnDaiSpeaks and until next time, always remember, "you are your greatest asset!"
