Save Yourself From Yourself
Today’s dose of “Vitamin D” is dedicated to getting rid of the “monster” inside of your head. That voice that tells you that you are not good enough, attractive enough and/or smart enough. It’s the voice that preys on you in your darkest hour stating that you are not worthy of attaining everything your heart desires. Where does it come from? It comes from what you allow yourself to be subjected to. Whether it is a person, place, thing…or in this case YOURSELF!
In the hit single, “The Monster,” rapper Eminem states, “I need an interventionist to intervene between me and this monster, and save me from myself and all this conflict.” Yes, we’ve all felt that way at some point in our life. Like we’re screaming and no one can hear us. Like we’re visible, but no one can see us. Heck, I probably even felt like that this week. Questioning if I made the right choice to even move to LA to pursue my dreams. I had to check myself and say, “Yes you did! I wouldn't be sitting here right here Vitamin D in studio E. "Dawn, this is what you said you wanted to do years ago when you first graduated college.” Heck, when you were still in High School and guess what? I did it and I'm doing it!
The opportunity presented itself to me and I seized it. I seized it because that's what life is about. It's about creating possibilities. It's about getting out of your own way and taking chances. Are you ready to take the chance? Stop looking for an easy route by allowing negative thoughts in your head like, “I don’t want to be a failure.” Well, I have a news flash for you...failure isn’t a person. Failure is an experience. An experience that you learn and grow and you mentally get fit from.
So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and take a chance! Tick tock.
That's it for your dose of Vitamin D. Be sure to follow me on all social media @DawnDaiSpeaks and until next time, always remember, "you are your greatest asset!"
