Episode 474: Director Todd Robinson on his new Vietnam War movie 'The Last Full Measure'

By iHeartPodcasts

Joining the show is producer, writer, and director, Todd Robinson. His latest movie The Last Full Measure is scheduled for release on October 25, 2019 and features a star cast including Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, Samuel L. Jackson, William Hurt, Ed Harris, Peter Fonda, John Savage and Jeremy Irvine. Unlike any film from the war genre, it focuses on the herioc true story of Air Force special operations during the Vietnam War. There is very little about this topic in writing or on film, so you won't want to miss this incredible story, which recounts the true story of William Pitsenbarger, a U.S. Air Force Pararescueman, who continually faced danger throughout more than 250 combat missions in Vietnam. During a rescue mission on April 11, 1966, he was offered the chance to escape on the last helicopter out of a combat zone, heavily under fire, but he stayed behind to save and defend the lives of his fellow soldiers of the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division, and he was killed. In addition to describing the details and structure of the film, Todd and SOFREP Radio host, Brandon Webb, discuss their shared passion for flying airplanes plus much more. As mentioned on the show, you can check out Save A Warrior for information on how they're helping veterans, active duty service members, and first responders that are affected by PTSD. As always, be sure to check out NEWSREP.com for the latest foreign policy, security, and defense news, and also CrateClub.com for Spec Ops grade gear hand picked by professionals.
