Yoga Can Wreck Your Body ft. Michelle Fleming
Michelle Fleming was Lisa’s teacher for her 200-hour yoga certification. Lisa chose to learn from Michelle because of her ability to distill science and respect medicine while opening her mind to what cannot be “proven” by concrete evidence.
Michelle found yoga by accident as a means to alter her body to fit society's standards. But when she started to reap the mental benefits, she realized there was much more to it than she bargained for. But, the more she practiced, the more her body failed her. Desperate to keep yoga in her life, she embarked on the journey to LEARN and understand it better so she could practice yoga in a way that retains its physical health – and that’s how Orthopedic Yoga therapy was born.
