Omar Vizquel is the personification of defense at shortstop in MLB history, an 11-time Gold Glove winner, he set the standard for excellence. Part of the glory days of the mid-1990s Cleveland Indians, Omar started his career with the Seattle Mariners in 1989, when he retired he was the last player left in any North American sports league who appeared in a game in the 1980s.
