By Bloomberg

Jay Clayton spent much of his career at the Wall Street law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell, advising market participants on regulatory enforcement, after serving as a clerk for the Honorable Marvin Katz of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In 2017 he became the Chairman the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Since he was sworn in he has focused on finishing Regulation Best Interest to replace the Fiduciary standard for investment advisors and he is looking at allowing retail investors access to private investments. Chairman Jay Clayton sits with former SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt discussing facing new regulatory challenges from social media and how it can influence markets and the challenges posed by digital-age technologies.
