Ready for a little time travel ? This Nashville Chat will take you back to 2012 when we connected with legendary pop star, and now American Idol judge, Lionel Richie. He had just completed a very cool and innovative project with a who’s who list of Nashville country stars. The album is TUSKEGEE, named after the college he attended, and it features country stars doing HIS mega pop hits of the past. So how do you, or they, decide which song to do for this album ? Turns out it was not only exciting, but a little scary going in. Lionel has terrific stories about working with the stars, including a few delightful demands and an unscheduled late night phone call.The result of the whole project was magic, and the experience will last a lifetime for all involved.
