As Australia prepares to head into another federal election, independent ACT senator David Pocock wanted to make a statement when he commissioned deepfake AI generated videos of the prime minister, Anthony Albanese, and the opposition leader, Peter Dutton. He wants to stop political parties and big donors from using generative technologies to their advantage.
