GCSE results 2024: London students get country's best grades

London students continued to have Britain’s best GCSE results as hundreds of thousands of teenagers nationwide discovered their academic fate.

Pupils in England, Wales and Northern Ireland received their results in the first year where grade marking was restored to pre-pandemic 2019 levels in all three nations.
