A report by recruitment firm Hays suggests the United Kingdom faces a shortage of skilled workers for in-demand job sectors, including technology, manufacturing and banking.
But, paradoxically, it comes amid growing concerns about the impact of immigration rule changes around the Skilled Worker Visa salary threshold for foreign workers and their families - which rose from £26,200 to £38,700 in April.
