Marvyn Harrison: Celebrating Black dads and campaigning for better paternity leave rights

Marvyn Harrison: Celebrating Black dads and campaigning for better paternity leave rights

By Alison Perry

Marvyn Harrison joins me on this episode. Dad of two and founder of Dope Black Dads which celebrates and supports its community of Black fathers.

Marvyn talks to me about the mental health wobble one Father's Day which prompted him to set up a WhatsApp group with some dad friends and how that snowballed into Dope Black Dads with a podcast, events and upcoming TV programme.

We also talk about his new campaign - along with the Dad Shift - to get better paternity rights for dads.

Follow him on Instagram, follow Dope Black Dads and see more about the Dad Shift here.
