S7 EP4 - Going to bloody work - Menstrual Leave

One of the pillars of our work at The Black Women Podcast is to nurture and protect our physical wellbeing with regards to work and today we are discussing the current conservation about the UK implementing a government workplace policy on menstrual leave. This policy has already been adopted by several countries around the world and instructs employers to increase leave specifically for women when on their period. With #endowarrior Nicole Marriott, we explore what such a policy would mean for women living with conditions that have an adverse effect on their menstrual cycle, why governments and employers are reluctant to include this policy in the workplace and what we think such a policy should include.
