Medieval women: friendship, wanderlust and the medieval hustle
Marie de France, Julian of Norwich, Christine de Pizan and Margery Kempe: what can these four extraordinary female writers reveal about the everyday lives of ordinary women in the Middle Ages? Well, rather a lot, according to historian Hetta Howes. Emily Briffett spoke to her to find out more.
