285. Denied then Diagnosed Philecia La’Bounty Stage 4 Cancer Survivor and Fighter
1-in 8 women will get diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States in their lifetime and yet women still have to fight for proper healthcare. Today I'm talking to Philecia La'Bounty about being misdiagnosed and being told she had a benign cyst at 29. She was in the best shape of her life, internationally modeling, and she didn't look or feel sick. She had never had an issue. Blindsided by a diagnosis she's now spreading awareness about the importance of getting a mammogram and biopsies. As seen on the Dr. Phil show for medical gaslighting, Good Morning America, and in People Magazine, Philecia is now getting all the testing she needs and is on a mission to save other people.
